Combining delivery costs allows you to automatically calculate the shipping cost if the customer buys in several of your offers for which you have different delivery price lists.
Make sure that in every offer you have a delivery price list defined and set the principle of combining delivery costs from different price lists. Thanks to this, the customer will see the right costs with every purchase.
How to set the right way to combine shipping costs
- Go to the Delivery settings tab.
- With the Method of calculating shipping costs setting, click [change].
- choose one of the available ways of combining delivery costs.
- click [save].
The methods of combining costs allow the Buyer to display
- the most expensive delivery amount among those selected by the Buyer,
- the amount of the cheapest delivery from among those selected by the Buyer,
- total costs from price lists - shipments will be sent separately.
Regardless of the method you choose, you can also provide the Buyer with the independent entry of the delivery amount . You will do it in the same tab.
Additional information
If you use the same price list in all offers, you do not need to specify how to combine delivery costs.
If you do not set the method of combining delivery costs, when you buy in several of your offers with different price lists, after choosing the delivery method, the customer will pay the amount that was the highest for this form among the purchased offers.
Combining price lists will not work if they do not have any common delivery method - then the Buyer will always be able to enter the delivery cost manually, regardless of the settings. In this case, the buyer should agree this cost with you in advance.
