In order to avoid abuse and in connection with applicable legal regulations, Allegro may not organize such competitions or promotions for customers in which the winner is selected by lottery or by achieving an appropriate level of purchase value.
Conducting promotional lotteries, in which certain in-kind or cash prizes are offered, requires in many cases the authorization of competent authorities and the creation of detailed regulations, which must also be approved by the competent authority.
In addition, Buyers may generally assert claims regarding the course of a given competition (games of chance, promotional lottery) only if it was carried out on the basis of a permit, in accordance with the principles described above.
Currently, the vast majority of emerging competitions in the form of games of chance or promotional lotteries organized by the Sellers do not meet the requirements described above. We also do not have the possibility of reliable verification of the permits granted and checking the acceptance of the content of the regulations, which is why we decided to completely ban such forms of promotion .
Examples of prohibited forms of promotions or competitions
- prize draw from the list of all buyers or bidders from the last month,
- promise to transfer the prize to the Buyer who will make purchases for a specific or highest amount in a given period,
- offering coupons that entitle you to participate in a contest or draw organized by the seller.
Examples of allowed forms of promotion
- offering coverage of transport costs if certain conditions are met (for example, when using the [buy now] option),
- offering a percentage or amount discount if certain conditions are met (for example, a one-time purchase for a specific amount).
For each permitted promotion, the Seller is obliged to specify its terms very carefully so as not to leave any understatements. The seller should also answer every customer question regarding a given promotion.
